Wiper and True Mild in Bristol 🍺

Another walk with my daughter this morning – 6.5 miles, we’re upping the ante 🙂
Panoramic view over Aberdare

Cefn Pennar Gethin Forest

Mossy lanes

Fallen tree

After watching/listening to the England v Ireland Test throughout today I’m now following the Yorkshire Vikings v Lancashire Lightning Vitality Blast T20 match. Reminds me how good the Blast competition can be – I still prefer it to The Hundred 🏏

Some views over the Cynon Valley yesterday morning whilst walking with my daughter.
The ground is drying in the good weather making paths more passable; we covered over 5 miles, including some steep climbs, in 2 hours 🚶♂️

And the skylarks were singing, which I love to hear

Getting warm outside 🔥

(Lunchtime approaching 😊)
Bank Holiday start – been making a vegan soda bread loaf. Then ate half of it for breakfast – tasted really good 😄 🍞

(Vegan because it used oat milk and lemon juice in place of the traditional buttermilk).
Huyghe Delirium 🍺
Bottle is superb but on first taste the beer is a little too florally scented. It will probably grow on me.

Fairly triangular brunch 🍳

Browsing a charity shop in town today and found this weighty 500 page book on Greek food – Culinaria Greece: Greek Specialities by Marianthi Milona. Full of what look to be delicious recipes. Good find for just £1 😊📚🇬🇷
