Watching both of the Olympic Triathlons this morning. Women’s event underway now. The swim in the Seine was interesting, with strong currents, and the road surfaces for the cycling appear to be quite slippery in places🏅

I’ve seen Tarkovsky’s other six films, some more than once. Now I’ve come to Andrei Rublev and of all of them I found this the most difficult to watch. The setting and subjects are just completely unfamiliar to me. Visually impressive and interesting to watch but I needed to refer to a plot synopsis quite a lot to understand events in the film. I’m sure I’ll watch it again – I need to 🫤
