Have had BBC Test Match Special on all morning. Great coverage and an exciting couple of hours of Ashes cricket, with the earlier England collapse slightly offset by the mini-Australian collapse. Tempted to start listening again at 3am tomorrow.

There seems to be about 10 mins worth of video clips of today’s Ashes play available for free online at BT Sport at the moment. Basically the fall of each wicket, Vince reaching 50 and the final ball of the day review. BT Sport don’t seem to have released **any** video for use **anywhere** else – ECB website has none, BBC have none. Poor.

I was a little irritated when I found out that all the Ashes 2017 cricket coverage is going to be on BT Sport. More annoyed now that I’ve found out that there doesn’t even appear to be any highlights on terrestrial TV or Sky. Looking forward to sleepless @BBCTMS nights then!

When broadcasting 4:3 programmes for widescreen television do we really need bright pink borders – surely black is better.
