It’s the start of the County Cricket season today 🏏
A number of rain delays but Middlesex v Glamorgan is going ahead and the livestream from Lord’s on YouTube is superb quality.
Every ball of every game in the Championship is also live on BBC Local Radio.
Just been watching Sunil Narine opening the batting for KKR in the IPL. A brilliant 85 off 39 balls, including seven 4s and seven 6s. His highest score in T20 cricket 🏏
Two very close, exciting games of Six Nations rugby today. Two unexpected results for Italy 🇮🇹 and England 🏴. A little compensation for this morning’s cricket humiliation! 🏉👏
Woke up at quarter to seven to hear Bashir take 2 wickets in 2 balls. Will now be glued to the radio for as long as it lasts 🇮🇳 🏴 🏏
Dramatic and slightly disappointing morning of cricket. Hoping for more drama in the final half an hour. Wicket needed 🇮🇳 🏴 🏏
Today’s plan:
Morning 🏏
Afternoon 🏉
Evening 🎵
England survive the first day to reach 302-7. A patient Joe Root worked hard to get a well-deserved century. A lot more than I expected after the morning session. A good day’s cricket 🇮🇳🏴🏏
Lots of wickets in the morning session of the first day of the fourth Test. This isn’t going to be a five day match 🇮🇳 v 🏴 🏏
As a sports biopic I really enjoyed this; 2h40m went by quickly! Interesting content – I learnt a fair amount. Recreation of the cricketing scenes better than I was expecting 🏏
Chase of 557. Easy, plenty of time 🤣 😳 🏏
