Watched: The Last Kingdom 📺
It’s taken me nearly two years to work my way through all five seasons of _The Last Kingdom_ (set in the 9th and 10th century British Isles). Enjoyed them all but my interest did wane slightly after the death of Alfred the Great. I still wanted to finish the storyline though.
To quote _The Guardian_ review from 2015:
> This is not a smaller-scale, less sexy, British Game of Thrones – it’s proper historical drama, and it’s a ton of fun
The film _The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die_ is next 👀
