I was very impressed with the ancient cemetery site of Kerameikos in Athens today.
The small museum is excellent and I found the “handshake” reliefs from the cemetery particularly moving. They show the deceased, usually seated, bidding farewell to the living.

Just visited Athens Gasworks. We were practically the only people there 😉
Fava and aubergine salad at Café Avissinia.
Arrived in Athens for a five day stay. In quite a ‘budget’ area but found a little cafe down an arcade that served some great fried seafood dishes and wine at €3 a litre 🙂

Really enjoyed England vs Wales 🏉 today. Result for England was just about deserved, Jonny May was superb, but weather was atrocious!
